I Don't
I recently read a post that got me to thinking. My friends and I have for the most part hit the 30s where we are learning to balance our roles as wives, mothers, friends, homemakers and career women. Somedays we soar and somedays we fail. It really got me to thinking about what I have cut from my life, the things I don't do, in order to accomplish all that I want to do. Here is a list of things I have cut from my life, the things I just don't do:
Please don't judge- the things I don't do may be key to your happiness, but they aren't to mine. I've always felt that time is money and my time with my daughter is so valuable right now that I am willing to spend a little more in areas that save me time. You may have more time than money. I'd love to have both! Please share comments on what you also have cut from your life to help us all learn ways to do or be more.

Blueberry Peach Muffins with Granola
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 container (6 ounces) fruit-on-the-bottom peach yogurt
- 1 large egg
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 pint (1 cup) fresh blueberries ( I used frozen)
- 1/2 cup low-fat granola, lightly crushed (I don't both crushing it)
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Coat a standard 12-indentation muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. On waxed paper, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, 1/4 cup water, the egg, egg white and melted butter. Stir the flour mixture into the yogurt mixture just until moistened. Gently fold in blueberries.
3. Divide batter evenly among the prepared muffin indentations, about a heaping 1/4 cup batter for each. Sprinkle crushed granola over all muffin tops (dividing evenly).
4. Bake muffins at 350°F for 20 minutes or until crowned and golden around the edges. Let muffins cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Transfer muffins directly to rack; serve slightly warm, if desired.

Friday's Foot Fetish: Wide Calves
I would take a tape measure around the largest part of your calf to determine how "wide" you are. These boots are 17.5 circumference which is the widest I have seen. If you plan to tuck jeggings or skinny jeans into them, I'd measure with pants on.
These are loose on me which I just love. Most wide calf are around 15" circumference and I am a 16". Hope you can find a pair you love!

Round Top Fall 2010 Edition
I did get to see my favorite painted tin vendor and purchased this lovely pumpkin for my front porch. The bright turqouise rustic star was just too bright and springlike for these Autumn months.

Fabric Wrapped Candles for Fall
Here is a closeup of the smaller candles.
And here is the creative, simple, sneaky way that I attached the fabric. A simple thumb tack poked right through the fabric and into the candle. I know, genius!
Look around the house- how many candles can you wrap? Halloween? Christmas? Fabric or ribbon? Ric Rac? Oh the fun- no candle is safe in my house now!
Look for lots more fall decor pictures and ideas coming soon or go here to see fall decor from last year.
